1974 VW Beetle 1600

Here we offer for sale a 1974 VW Beetle 1600 in absolutely stunning 'wow' original collector condition throughout.

We imported this car from it's one previous lady owner in South Africa earlier last year and following a tremendous amount of interest, it quickly found a new owner here in the UK. Unfortunately after a year or so in which he has used the car very little due to health issues, the owner has reluctantly decided to sell it on again and asked us to find a new home for it.

In South Africa it was always garaged from new which has helped keep it in outstanding condition and during that time it's one and only lady owner covered a mere 96,000km (60,000 miles) from new.

The body is in exceptional original shape, exactly as it left the factory with rust free panel work with no dents or accident damage ever. The completely original Gold paintwork gleams and the colour really complements the curves of the Beetle well. The chrome is outstanding condition never having seen inclement weather.

Mechanically the 1600cc engine performs really well on the road easily keeping up with modern traffic whilst making that unique phut-phut air cooled whoosh.

The interior is in superb condition with very little sign of wear anywhere, it doesn't get any better than this. Seats, mats, headlining, dashboard and switchgear all in supreme shape. The original tool kit rarely seen is also present.
