1980 Fiat 128 PickUp 1300

1980 Fiat 128 PickUp 1300

£6,950.00

We have just imported this super rare little classic Fiat 128 Pickup which was a model built and designed exclusively for the South African market to meet the high demand for small Bakkie/PickUp vehicles . It was derived from the 128 Estate and assembled at the Brits factory in Pretoria along with other Alfa Romeo models from 1978 until it's closure in 1985.

Mechanically it is fitted with the 1.3 litre Fiat SOHC engine and is front wheel drive with brake discs on the front and drums on the rear. Payload is 500kg. We have carried out a re-commissioning and full service since arriving with us in the UK with brakes renewed all round and steering/suspension components replaced - it is up and running on the road, ready to roll. The engine sounds particularly sweet and runs really well. It is now UK registered with historic tax and MOT exempt.

The body is in excellent rust free condition never having been welded seeing the benefit of the hot inland climate and the paint is in the original colour of red and it runs on 13 inch alloy wheels. Clock reads 92,000km (58,000 miles) and is believed to be genuine mileage but not substantiated.

Sure to appeal to Italian car enthusiasts wanting something that little bit different and fairly unique (only one other example known here in the UK) or possibly the tradesman seeking a novelty marketing utility vehicle.
