This 5 door AlfaSud hatchback is finished in metallic grey with green side stripes and polka dot interior. The GTA is a rare South African only model which was produced as a run out series in late 1983 with only 50 examples being built.
It was basically the equivalent model of the European Alfasud Ti QV Green Cloverleaf model so fitted with a tuned 1490cc Boxer engine with twin carbs producing 105bhp and reaching 0-60 in 9.5 secs, a 5 speed gearbox, Campagnolo wheels in graphite, sports steering wheel and a large rear spoiler.
Imported directly from inland Gauteng by us, this Alfa only had two previous owners in South Africa and comes with service history documenting the mileage of 91,000 km (57,000 miles) as being genuine and correct.
Recent re-commissioning has seen it fully serviced and fitted with new tyres and battery, exhaust, radiator, timing belts, water pump, front brakes and shocks all round hence the car drives and performs very well indeed out on the road.
The huge upside of this imported AlfaSud is the superb original structural condition of the body and undersides - a rare find on any Alfa of this vintage. Any UK car that has been used year round just cannot stand comparison. With no apparent rust and no welding ever needed it comprises 100% Alfa factory original steel. The heat and sun does come with a minor downside in that the interior has small areas of sun fade on the seat fabric in places but surely a fair trade off.
MOT exempt and tax exempt from 1st April 2025.
